Left Vernal yesterday late in the afternoon after going to visit my grandfather one more time. It was hard leaving, knowing that I may not get to see him again. When I leave for Asia in June, I plan to be gone for at least a year. I know that he is proud of me for traveling, living overseas and teaching and that he wants me to continue doing so. But how do you say good-bye to somebody for what might be the last time?
On the drive to Salt Lake, I started feeling a tickle in my throat and was suddenly very tired.
Today, it’s NyQuil and sleep. Good night.
Today I am grateful for:
-my mom taking care of me
-hot tea with lemon
-a soft bed
-cough drops
-NyQuil
-family
-the chance to see him one more time
